Diagnostic imaging centers offer one central location for most imaging procedures, as well as radiology staff on-site to aid in providing quick test results.
Some of the services provided at the typical imaging center include Mammography, Computerized Tomagraphy (CT-Scan), Bone Densitometry, X-ray, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Arthrograms and Nuclear Medicine Exams.
Some tests require preparation or fasting prior to the procedure - checking with the imaging center or the physician who ordered the test may prevent incorrect results or rescheduled tests.
